Is exercise a chore? Is the though of "no pain, no gain" physical activity downright scary? It also takes time to exercise, not to mention another shower if you choose to do so after work.

When you really break it down, is it the actual exercise that bothers you or the thought of exercising? I think I mentioned in an earlier post that we have to change our beliefs about physical activity. If we view it in a stress-relieving, health-promoting, body-toning kind of way, it doesn't seem so bad. The other thing we have to do is make it fun. You know- enjoyable? Like shopping or taking a nice long bubble bath (okay, a bit different, but you get the point).

One way to really make exercise fun is to do it to music. Of course, it has to be music you like. I choose my classes at the gym based on the kind of music an instructor plays! There's a reason why the whole iPod think is such a hit. People love music! You don't need an iPod though to enjoy exercising to music. Almost any aerobic class at your local gym will be done to music. You can get some free weights or exercise bands and play your favorite CD or radio station at home. Along with iPods, there are MP3 players and even radio headsets that you can wear while walking, running, cleaning, gardening, or any other physical activity.

Music has the power to move people- emotionally, spiritually, and physically! So work it into your life and make it part of your exercise routine. I guarantee you that you'll enjoy that dreaded exercise a bit more and maybe learn to love it. Here are three of my favorite musical exercise tools:
